Richard Marx，1963年6月16日出生於美國芝加哥。這位當今搖滾樂壇的白馬王子，其從藝生涯頗具有傳奇色彩：80年代初，他曾錄制了幾首歌曲，試著寄給樂壇知名巨星萊昂納爾.裏奇（Lionel Richie, Say You Say Me 的作曲及演唱者），就這樣被賞識，並被Richie邀請加盟伴唱。
