Coach Juan Carlos Garrido’s side has accumulated 39 points and stand on fourth spot in La Liga.  This season their aim will be Europe, as recently they have been eliminated from Copa del Rey by Sevilla.  But Garrido has already announced before that Copa del Rey was not the priority what matters for home side is Europe qualification.  They are just one point behind 3rd place Valencia.  Out of five head to head fixtures both team are equal, both have won twice and drawn once.  But ironically in these five matches Villarreal’s win came in away fixture, they have not won at home.  So this might be the best chance for them to win at home against Real Sociedad.

Getafe were nailed down by 4-0 by Real Sociedad.  Thanks to this win otherwise the good start which they made in start of the season was going all under drain.  This impressive win over Getafe might have boosted the morale of the team and visiting Villarreal and taking back home some decent point or points will be the target of Real Sociedad.  Antoine Griezmann might be able to show his classic footwork against Villarreal, as he has only scored 4 goals in 18 games.  And in this fixture, I am expecting him to score a goal or twice. With Real Sociedad available at +1 ¼ handicap, it’s n easy pick to back them.
