距離那一次歷險奇遇已經過去了十年……曾經漫游奇境的愛麗絲（米婭·華希科沃斯卡飾），今年業已19歲，她生活在一個華麗富庶的大莊園裡，衣食無憂，生活奢靡，在社會風氣的帶動下，漸漸的成長為家庭心目中所冀望的那種貴族女子，卻早已忘卻自己在9歲時的那些奇妙無比的經歷。時光荏苒，在家族為他舉辦的19 歲的生日宴會上，一位富豪的兒子向他求婚，對方是哈米什·愛斯科特（利奧·比爾飾），哈米什雖然家財萬貫，性格卻愚笨而木訥，跟愛麗絲根本不是一路人。愛麗絲發覺到自己並不想要這樣的生活，渴望改變現狀的她在小白兔的帶領下，愛麗絲再次步入仙境。

在電影《Alice in Wonderland 愛麗絲夢游奇境》上映之前，原聲大碟《Almost Alice》火爆推出。各位歌手/樂隊受到如此經典奇幻的童話故事的啟發，寫下了首首動聽的歌曲。
電影片尾將響起的"Alice"，由艾薇兒所作並演唱。About.com 的 Bill Lamb 給了這首歌 4/5★ 的評價。他贊許 Avril Lavigne 把 Alice 掉入兔子洞時的困惑慌張演繹的十分到位。不過，他也說，雖然艾薇兒的聲音極富情感，但也有點“喳(shouty)”了。
